Zindika is a Jamaican born writer and teacher. She is best known as a playwright. Her plays were produced in the 90s and toured nationally with the Black Theatre Cooperative. Her work was performed in collaboration with Adzido Dance Company at Sadler’s Wells and The Royal Festival Hall. Her play ‘Lenora’s Dance’ was published in ‘Seven Plays by Black and Asian Women’ (1993). Zindika is the author of several books, ‘When will I See You Again?’ (2005) and ‘A Daughter’s Grace’ (1992). Her most recent books: ‘Valiant Women – profiles of African Women in Struggles’ and ‘Ready, Steady, GOLD – Great Olympian, were written with the intention to introduce children and young people to some of the highlights of black achievements in an educational, positive and inspiring way. Zindika lives in the UK and works as a teacher. She is completing her second novel, soon to be published.
